We're pleased to announce the latest updates to the Tech Log suite of products.
Global Enhancements

New Features
These releases focus on expanding the functionality we offer with regards to managing crew on trips and sectors. Available to all users of multi crew aircraft, we’ve added support for the following scenarios:
- Customising the list of Additional Crew roles for your operator, or even at an aircraft level.
- Selecting and changing PIC (Pilot In Command) and SIC (Second In Command) for each Sector, no longer requiring the same PIC and SIC for the whole trip.
- Submitting Duty Logs for additional crew members.
The most obvious change you’ll see in both the Tech Log Application and Web Dashboard is the option to select PIC and SIC for each sector. These will default to the Trip crew positions, so no additional workload is added, but can be changed if required.
If you’d like for us to customise the list of Additional Crew roles, please contact support and let us know the relevant roles for your operation. Each specified role can be restricted to certain positions within the system if you wish.

Enhancements
- The Preflight and Postflight Sector status icons will now remain amber until all associated attachments and documents have been successfully transferred to the server. Previously, only the Sector record itself had to be transferred before the icon would change to green.
- If your workflows are configured with additional fields to capture operational data, these fields can now show the value that was entered in the previous sector below the entry area. For items where the values are tracked or compared, this prevents the crew from needing to return to the previous sector to look up the last recorded value. Please contact support to have this enabled for any of your custom fields.
- In the Add Defect flow, when changing the type between Defect and Intermittent Fault (if enabled), the Details you have entered will now copy to the new type.
- The full name of the Departure Airport will now show beneath the 4-letter ICAO code on the Preflight view.
- Interaction icons have been added on the Dashboard view, alongside the operator name and aircraft serviceability status, to indicate that tapping on those areas will reveal more information.
- When starting a sector after the end of the Trip date (in UTC), a warning is displayed requesting that the crew member instead starts a new trip. This warning can now be disabled, for aircraft operating multi-day trips, or those that use the local timezone to group sectors.
Bug Fixes
- When switching aircraft, a warning could have been shown that the previously loaded sector could not be found. This was a spurious error message and has now been resolved.
- A visual issue that could occur when rotating the iPad orientation has been fixed.

Latest Web Dashboard Release
Enhancements
- We’ve added the ability to edit Workpack Resolution details if the original release was submitted with mistakes or missing details. This can be accessed by viewing the Workpack and selecting “Edit Resolution”. Note that a justification will be required when making any changes.
- In combination with editing releases, a new “Change History” view has been added to the Workpack information panel, showing you any changes that have been made to the Release and the justification for doing so.
- The Trip and Sector workflows in the Web Dashboard have been updated to support the same configuration options as in the Tech Log Application. This includes, for example, whether block times and maximum flight levels are tracked for this aircraft, along with many other such changes to align the Web Dashboard experience with those of the Tech Log Application.
- Modules that were disabled on the Tech Log Application, such as Dent and Buckle and Documents, will now also be disabled on the Web Dashboard.
- When using the aircraft switcher to view details for another aircraft, the list of available aircraft will now be ordered by their registration, providing a more consistent experience.
- Trip Update records now support adding a Comment that can be used to record a note explaining the purpose of the record update. If the Trip Update has no maintenance items, this comment will be printed to the corresponding SRP in the details field of the first maintenance row.
Integrations
- Previously, the “Reference” field of a Defect would be overwritten by the CAMP Defect Reference. This no longer happens by default, but can be enabled should you request it. The value you enter as the Reference will now remain as entered for defects synchronised with CAMP.
- The Avianis integration can now be configured to group scheduled flights by local date, rather than UTC date, for operators who operate in this manner. Additionally, day and night flying hours, when entered manually, will round in a way such that they always sum to equal the flight hours.
