We're pleased to announce the latest updates to the Tech Log suite of products. The latest version of the Application (v1.17.0) is available via the App Store, and the Web Dashboard will automatically be updated next time you visit it. This email details the changes that are now available to you.
Introducing SAF Support

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) support has been added throughout the Tech Log Application and Web Dashboard, allowing you to track when SAF is uplifted and (optionally) the percentage mix used. This new feature also comes with the ability to have aircraft configured to support multiple types of fuel that crew have to select from when uplifting. Please reach out to our support team for more information or to enable SAF support, or fuel type selection, for your aircraft.
Global Enhancements

These features are available across both the Tech Log Application and Web Dashboard. To ensure that you have the opportunity to review any changes before pushing them to your fleet, none of the new functionality detailed here is enabled on your account by default - please contact support for any additional information, or to have the features configured for your demo aircraft or production fleet.
New Features
- Aircraft can now be configured to require an inspector's signature when closing Defects or Workpacks. Enabling this workflow will ensure that, when appropriate, a secondary authorisation is captured and printed to your SRP template before a resolution can be issued.
- The option to capture per-defect releases has also been added when resolving a Workpack. Currently, only a single signature is required to close the whole Workpack, but should you wish, this can be changed to require individual authorisations be required for each defect, with intelligent pre-filling of information to reduce the need to enter details repeatedly.
- For regions where an explicit CRS is required after performing and signing off the maintenance actions, this can now be added as a new, separate, workflow to be performed after completing the existing flow to resolve work.
New Configurations
- The term "CRS (Certificate of Release to Service)" can be customised throughout the Applications, to align the phrasing for your region.
- The information captured for part replacements performed during defect resolutions is now customisable. Additionally, the requirement to capture these details can be removed if it is tracked in a different system.
- The reference format of deferred defects printed to SRPs, when the aircraft does not have a linked Digital MEL, can now be configured to either use the entered reference number or the ATA chapter and section.
- Viewing the "Last CRS" through the documents store can now be changed to show the last SRP containing a CRS signature, rather than the existing certificate template. The correct SRP will be downloaded to the Tech Log Application when synchronising to ensure that it is always available offline.
- An additional "Notes" field can be added to Defect or Workpack Releases in order to capture any additional text that the engineer wishes to add. The captured text can be printed to the corresponding SRP.
- It is now possible to mark Maintenance Checks as completed as part of a Workpack Release.
- To support regional terminology, the "Engineer Licence/Authorisation Number" field on releases can be renamed to better represent the expected information.
