Overview
This guide details how to use the Intermittent Faults module within the Web Dashboard, covering recording, viewing, and editing recorded Faults.
Module Name
In this documentation, the module is referred to as Intermittent Faults, however, in order to comply with your existing operational procedures, this name may have been changed on your account. The same procedures are applicable, regardless of the displayed name.
Prerequisites
Intermittent Faults is an optional module within the Tech Log platform. If you are unable to see it, please contact our support team to discuss adding it to your account.
Intermittent Faults share the same permission as Defects. Any user with the View Defects permission can view Intermittent Faults. The Edit Defects permission is required to be able to record new Intermittent Faults.

Recording an Intermittent Fault
Intermittent faults can be added once an aircraft has been selected.
- After selecting an aircraft, navigate to the Intermittent Faults module
- Click on Add intermittent fault
The slide-in will appear allowing you to enter details of the fault. Sector is an optional field that allows a fault report to be linked to a previous sector, while Date Recorded, Time Recorded, and Reported By are required fields that default to the current date/time and current user, respectively.
The only field that must be interacted with is Details, where text should be entered describing the experienced issue. Attachments may optionally be added. To confirm the fault report, select Save.
Viewing Intermittent Faults
A list of reported faults is displayed within the Intermittent Faults module. Each row can be clicked on to provide additional details about the fault:
Deleting Fault Reports
If a reported Intermittent Fault is no longer required, it can be deleted using the three-dot menu:
- Select the three-dot menu on the row you wish to delete
- Click Delete
You will be asked to confirm deletion.
Editing Fault Reports
Once reported, an Intermittent Fault cannot be edited. Instead, it should be deleted and a new, corrected, Intermittent Fault should be reported.
