The Tech Log product suite has an integration with the flight planning tool RocketRoute. Customers of both TrustFlight and RocketRoute can take advantage of this integration to have filed flight plans automatically appear within the TrustFlight system, reducing the amount of data that flight crew need to manually enter.

Please Note: Integrations are not part of all Tech Log plans, and may carry an additional charge. Please speak to your sales or implementation executive if you are unsure about whether this integration is included in your plan.

Enabling the Integration

The integration can be enabled from within the Web Dashboard from the Integrations page, found under Settings on the left-hand menu.

If the integration has not been configured already, simply select Enable. You will be presented with a login view to enter your existing RocketRoute username and password:

It is important to note here that TrustFlight does not not store your username and password. We use the information you enter into the form to request an "authentication token" from RocketRoute, and only this token is stored in our system. Once the authentication has successfully completed, you will see confirmation on the Integrations screen:

Configuration

The RocketRoute integration is an intelligent integration that does not require any configuration. The RocketRoute Integration article contains more information on how the integration works.

Supporting Multiple Tech Log Accounts

Should a user have access to multiple Tech Log accounts, for instance if they provide support for multiple operators, the same RocketRoute account can be configured against any number of Tech Log accounts in the manner described above. Flight plans are linked to the correct account via the aircraft registration, and as registrations must be unique within Tech Log, only the relevant plans will be imported into each account.

One limitation of this approach is that in order to ensure that flight crew are available within the Tech Log application suite, any crew member that is listed in the user's RocketRoute account will be imported to all linked Tech Log accounts automatically. Any additional crew members should simply be deleted from the account to which they are not applicable.

Disabling the Integration

To disable the RocketRoute integration, simply select Disable below the RocketRoute integration tile on the Integrations page.
