This tutorial will show you how to add a Non-Deferred Defect.
In the non-deferred defect, you are choosing not to allow a deferral which means there will be no rectification delay. This will need addressing before the aircraft can dispatch.
Note: By choosing not to defer, this defect will ground the aircraft until the defect is cleared.
A short video guide can be found at the bottom of the page.
1. The Add Defect page can be accessed different ways depending on your current task.
2. Once you've reached the Add Defect screen, Step 1 - Enter defect details: input details of the item which can include any information you deem important and (optional) attachments
3. Step 2 - Select No Action and enter a Reference (if applicable) and a ATA Chapter and Section
Tap Continue
4. You will then see a Summary page. Note the warning that in completing this, you will render the aircraft unserviceable. You can choose to Delete or Save as draft the defect by tapping Cancel and then selecting the appropriate button, or tapping outside the box will return you to the dashboard and save it as a draft.
4a. Selecting Save as draft will put the defect into a draft status. Tapping on the 2 dots will enable to you to Edit the defect and complete the adding process
5. Select Tap to add a signature or Ground Aircraft to provide your signature and complete the flow. The aircraft will enter the Unserviceable state until the defect is either rectified or deferred.
8. You'll now return to the overview page, where your reported defect will now be highlighted as overdue, with the aircraft on the dashboard showing as unserviceable until this defect is addressed.
This video shows you the workflow information on adding a defect and associated information to aircraft.
