Overview
CAMP Maintenance Tracking (campsystems.com) is a comprehensive maintenance tracking and planning solution for aircraft, with which the Tech Log application has a direct integration. This section covers the functionality of the integration, its limitations and configuration.
Functionality
The CAMP Integration has 4 primary functions, each of which can be enabled or disabled independently. Full details are available in the following documents:
- TL-UGD-CMP-002 Importing Maintenance Items and Defects (CAMP Integration)
- TL-UGD-CMP-003 Pushing Defects (CAMP Integration)
- TL-UGD-CMP-004 Pushing Aircraft Totals (CAMP Integration)
- TL-UGD-CMP-005 Importing Workpacks (CAMP Integration)
Enabling the Integration
As accessing aircraft via the CAMP integration requires a manual process to be taken by the CAMP support team, the integration cannot be enabled via the Web Dashboard. Instead, please simply Contact Support with the request to enable the CAMP integration and the aircraft you wish to have enabled.
Our support team will then reach out to the CAMP support team and request access to the aircraft in question on your behalf. We will include you in the email, and you may be asked by CAMP to approve the request. This process normally takes under 48 hours, and after that the integration will be activated for your operator.
By default, we will enable Importing Maintenance Items and Defects and Importing Workpacks, but leave Pushing Aircraft Totals and Pushing Defects to CAMP disabled until you request they be turned on. This ensures that we do not alter data in your CAMP account until you are ready. Please see the pages on the individual components for more information.
Note: When enabling an aircraft via the integration, CAMP occasionally disables your ability to submit aircraft totals via their user interface even if you have not enabled the Pushing Aircraft Totals integration with us. If you find that this is the case and wish to submit aircraft totals manually, please contact CAMP's support team and request they make the functionality available via the web interface once more. This is not something we have control over.
Requesting Additional Aircraft
If you already have the integration enabled for your operator but wish to include additional aircraft, please Contact Support. We will then reach out to CAMP to request access to the additional aircraft on your behalf. This normally takes under 48 hours.
Configuration
At the present time, configuration for enabled aircraft is not available via the Web Dashboard. Instead, please simply Contact Support with any request to change the configuration. The available configuration options for each aircraft are:
- Enabled Features: Which features are enabled for importing, pushing or synchronisation.
-
- Importing Maintenance Items and Defects
-
- Pushing Defects to CAMP
-
- Pushing Aircraft Totals
-
- Importing Workpacks
- Due List Import Duration: The number of months ahead of maintenance tasks to import. This is defaulted to 6 months and CAMP impose a maximum limit of 12 months.
- Enable Review/Approval Flow: Enables or disables an approval flow where new Maintenance Items from CAMP are not automatically applied to the aircraft, but enter a draft status until approved, as detailed in Importing Maintenance Items and Defects.
These settings can be applied to any number of individual aircraft, or to all aircraft belonging to your operator. Please specify which aircraft the changes are to be made to when logging the request.
