Release Notes Version: | v5.0.69 - v.5.0.74 v4.9.117 - v4.9.124 |
Overview:
The May update for Centrik introduces a suite of powerful new features designed to enhance usability, data confidentiality, and operational risk management. Users can now view safety reports with reporter details hidden by default, streamlining compliance with EASA and IOSA regulations while preserving flexibility through a configurable visibility toggle. Risk managers will benefit from a newly reimagined Hazard Log, offering tag-based organisation, smarter risk scoring, and intuitive filtering—mirroring the enhanced Risk Register layout. Additional task views have been reintroduced to aid users migrating from Centrik 4, and a new bookmarking feature enables quick access to frequently used pages. This release also includes over 35 targeted bug fixes across Safety, Quality, MRO, Documents, Training, and RegApps modules, significantly improving performance, stability, and accuracy throughout the platform.
What's New
1. De-identified Safety Report Viewing
Centrik now hides the report submitter information when viewing safety reports, improving alignment with EASA and IOSA regulation.
Only users with the Manage Cases or Include Confidential access rights can now reveal these details, by default. For managers, the ability to hide identifying details is perfect for meetings, screensharing, or auditor access - you can keep sensitive information confidential, and toggle visibility on or off as you need.
Key Points
- Configuration: Each reporting subsystem may have a different setting. This way you can set what is de-identified for each department or business unit. In addition to reporter details, the aircraft registration can also be hidden in this way.
- Default behaviour: Only those with “Manage Cases” or “Include Confidential” permission in the subsystem can see submitter details by default. This can be changed on request.
- Easy toggle control: When viewing a case, you can quickly hide or show these identifying fields for privacy during screenshare or when others are watching.
- Reporter Visibility: You always see your own name if you submitted the case—even if de-identification is enabled.
When you open a safety case:
- If you’re the reporter: You’ll always see your own name/details, even if the feature is on.
- If you’re not the reporter:
- If you have permission to view the identifying details configured, you will see a new toggle to hide identifying fields, according to how your subsystem’s options are set. Switching this on/off will hide and show the configured fields.
- If you do not have permission to view identifying details configured, the fields will simply display asterisks (“************”).
2. Taggable Hazards & Filterable Hazard Log
Further to the recent tagging and filtering improvements to the Risk Register, we have added a highly flexible, tag-driven Hazard Log view—making it easier than ever for risk managers to organise, review, and report on hazards in complex operational environments.
Organise by Tags, Just Like Your Risk Register
- Hazards can now be grouped by a hierarchical tag structure, giving you a clear, drill-down view of risks by location, department, aircraft type, or any custom taxonomy you choose.
- Tags expand and collapse intuitively, mirroring the collated layout you know from the Risk Register.
- Designed to feel just like the current Risk Register with the same filters and layout style.
Smarter Risk Scoring
- View aggregated scores for each tag level
- Totals for linked cases and findings are included automatically to streamline reviews and audits.
- Built-in logic prevents double-counting, even if a hazard is tagged in multiple places.
Drill Down Into the Details
- In the Hazard Log, click any hazard tag to open a full detail view in a new tab, including linked risks, consequences, scores, and relevant findings or cases that contribute to the tag.
3. More Task Views for Centrik 5
Centrik 5’s personal dashboard task list has been complemented with links to several additional views showing more comprehensive details of their actions, safety reports, findings etc. These views will be familiar to users transitioning from Centrik version 4, and can be displayed as either tiles or a list.
4. Bookmarks
We have enhanced Centrik with a new bookmarking feature, making it easier than ever for users to find regularly used documents and pages.
To add a new book, a user navigates to the page in the usual way and clicks the Links menu. Here is found a new Bookmarks section. The + button may be used to bookmark the current page; existing bookmarks may be edited and deleted using the Manage bookmarks option.
