When reviewing a safety case you are able to hide (toggle) sensitive identifying information related to the submitted report, this includes the name of the person submitting the report and the aircraft registration.
This is especially useful during meetings when you are screensharing information as well as providing auditor access to the system. This allows you to keep confidentiality intact while still collaborating effectively. You can toggle these details on or off as needed, depending on the context.

Key Points
- Per-subsystem configuration: Each reporting subsystem can have unique de-identification settings. This allows you to customize what information is hidden for different departments or business units.
- Default behaviour: Only users with "Manage Cases" or "Include Confidential" permissions can view identifying information. By default, submitter names are hidden for all other users (both internal and external reporters).
- Toggle control: Users with the right permissions will see a “Hide Identifying Details” toggle on each case. This allows quick switching between views—ideal for screensharing or external review.
- Reporter visibility: Reporters can always see their own name, even if de-identification is enabled.
- For other users: If you have permission: you’ll see a toggle to show/hide identifying fields based on your subsystem’s configuration. If you don’t have permission: identifying fields will display as ************.
