Overview:
This release introduces key improvements to data accuracy, configurability, and usability across the Tech Log platform. Highlights include the enforcement of minimum sync limits for trip and maintenance history, helping ensure critical operational records are consistently available during offline use. Additionally, a new configuration option allows operators to hide the “Initial” fluid quantity fields for BUG and IDG uplifts, aligning their behaviour with other uplift types and supporting more flexible workflows. The release also includes a broad set of web and iOS bug fixes addressing issues across the Dent & Buckle interface, fluid recording, defect filtering, and PDF document rendering—further strengthening platform stability and user experience across the board.
What's New
1. Minimum Sync Limit Enforcement
To improve data consistency across devices, the Tech Log web dashboard now enforces a minimum sync limit for trips, defects, scheduled maintenance items, intermittent faults, and cabin issues. When setting up how many historical records to sync to the iPad, users are now required to input a value of at least 20. If a value below this threshold is entered, the system will prevent saving and clearly notify the user of the minimum allowed limit. Additionally, when a value below 50 is entered, a non-blocking warning message will appear, advising that low limits could impact data completeness. This warning is purely informational and does not block the user from saving their changes.
This enhancement ensures more reliable field data availability during offline operations while still giving users flexibility to optimize sync performance based on operational needs and connectivity constraints.
2. Initial Field Visibility for BUG and IDG Uplifts
To support a wider range of operational workflows, customers can now choose to hide the Initial quantity fields for BUG and IDG uplifts on the Tech Log web dashboard. This update brings the behaviour of these components in line with existing uplift types such as Oil and Hydraulic, offering customers greater flexibility in how they record servicing data during trips.
When configured, the Initial field can be hidden from view entirely on the web dashboard if it is not relevant to the customer’s uplift procedures. If shown, the field continues to function as it does today, capturing the starting fluid quantity for each item. This enhancement allows operators to better tailor the uplift interface to match their internal processes and reduce data entry overhead where not required.
