Overview:
This release of SmartDocs introduces a number of UX/UI enhancements, a new Title Pages feature, and an AI Editing Assistant to streamline your document creation process. Additionally, we’ve improved Regulations Diffing in the Regulations Module for easier version comparison.
What's New
1. UX/UI Updates
Significant improvements have been made the UX/UI of the system, including:
-
Updated screens for All Documents, Manage Document, My Actions, Action Tracking and Late Readers for improved clarity and more direct paths to key interactions.
-
Users can now select multiple filter conditions for most list screens.
-
Updated routing and breadcrumbs so that users can more easily navigate between screens and use the browser’s back button.
-
The system will now warn the user before navigating away from unsaved pages to prevent losing unsaved work.
2. Title Pages
Users can now create a document title page by selecting the “Insert Title Page” button from the top-bar menu. Currently, users have the option to add a logo, document title, author, and date. Future updates will expand the title page capabilities with additional formatting options, extra fields, and the ability to use metadata variables (e.g., document name) to populate the title page automatically.
3. AI Editing Assistant
Users can now access an in-editor AI assistant to help create and refine their documents. By selecting the AI Agent button in the bottom-right corner of the editor, an agent interface opens in the side panel. This interface allows users to ask questions about the document's content or generate content. When required, the AI Assistant consults the Regulations Agent to gather information from the Regulations Module. Users can manage multiple conversations, switch between them via tabs at the top of the AI interface, and review previous exchanges in the conversation history.
