Overview:

This release introduces several new features to enhance document creation and management, including AI PDF Import, a dynamic Table of Contents, AI Content Assist, PDF Export, and a new SmartDocs Dashboard. Additionally, users can now access a Regulations Module, complete with an AI Agent for easier regulation searches. A range of bug fixes and improvements have also been made to enhance overall stability and usability. There are no end-user or support impacts for this release.

What's New

1. AI PDF Import to SmartDocs

Users can now import PDF documents into the SmartDocs editor when creating a new document in the Documents Module. This feature uses AI to analyze the PDF’s format and recreate it within the editor. Currently, only the body text is imported; title pages, headers, and footers are not yet supported.

2. Dynamic Table of Contents

Users can now insert a dynamic Table of Contents into the editor. The ToC automatically reflects the document’s structure. At present, page numbers are not included.

3. AI Content Assist

AI Content Assist is a type-ahead feature that offers context-based suggestions for completing sentences. Trained on manuals within the system, it provides aviation-specific prompts that will improve over time as more manuals become available for training.

4. SmartDocs Export to PDF

Users can now export SmartDocs to PDF by selecting the download button in the Document Reader. Downloads must be enabled for the specific document or document type. Currently, manual page breaks are not supported.

5. SmartDocs Dashboard

A new dashboard has been added to the Smart Documents Module home screen. It displays an overview of the document types in the system and provides a summary of key actions the user should perform and track.

6. Regulations Module

Users can now access a comprehensive library of regulations within the One TrustFlight platform by selecting the Regulations Module from TrustFlight Home or from the module dropdown menu. Currently, users can view the most recent version of regulations, search within and across them, copy regulation text for citations, and interact with the Regulations AI Agent (see below). Regulations are free to all SmartDocs Beta users but will be offered à la carte after launch.

7. Regulations AI Agent

We’ve added an AI Agent to the Regulations Module. This agent can search the full breadth and depth of the regulations library, answer user questions, and direct users to relevant regulations. To access the agent, simply select the chat button within the Regulations Module.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

• The R&A button now displays properly on the toolbar of the SmartDocs reader when the user has an open R&A action for that document.

• The system now prevents folders and subfolders and files from being moved into themselves or other documents.

• Fixed a bug which caused SmartDocs file names to display as NA in the R&A details screen.

• Fixed a but which prevented document types from being created, updated and deleted.

• Pressing tab within a table will now move the cursor to the next cell, or add an additional row.

• Adding an image or table at the end of the document will no longer prevent users from adding additional content.

• SmartDocs PDF exports now support tables, numbered and bulleted lists, and highlighting.

• Fixed a bug which prevented the AI template generator from populating the SmartDocs editor.

• All Users system role is now selectable within the document and document type distribution settings.

• Export PDF functionality now respects document and document type settings.

• Fixed a bug which prevented automatic page breaks from functioning.

• Table cells will now merge as intended.

• Tables now render correctly in dark-mode.

• Updated heading level selection behaviour to be more intuitive.

• Users can now navigate to SmartDocs directly from R&A notifications.
