Overview:
During January 2025, Centrik releases introduced several key enhancements aimed at improving user experience, efficiency, and configurability. A new Side-by-Side view enables users to interact with multiple process stages simultaneously, streamlining use of the system. The Document Module Self-Administration feature empowers admins with greater control over document configurations, reducing reliance on TrustFlight support. Task List Enhancements bring a new "My Tasks Assigned" view, task export capabilities, and improved workflow task visibility. General UI refinements include dark mode improvements, better small-screen support, and enhanced dashboard charts. Additionally, Flight Information Lookup for Safety Reporting enables seamless integration with flight ops systems for automated data entry, and new ECCAIRS publishing options provide greater flexibility for compliance reporting.
What's New
1. Centrik 5 - Side-by-Side view (Beta)
We’ve introduced a split-screen interface for key user workflows in Centrik, allowing users to view and interact with multiple process stages simultaneously. For example, you can now review a safety report on one side while classifying and risk-assessing it on the other or examine a finding’s details while completing an action plan. Additionally, you can view and edit actions from any open stage without leaving the page.
This update streamlines workflows, boosts efficiency, and enhances the overall user experience. We’re currently beta testing with select customers, with a general release planned later in the quarter.
2. Document Module Self-Administration (Beta)
We’re rolling out a series of enhancements to empower users and reduce reliance on TrustFlight support for system configuration.
The first improvement grants admins greater control over the Documents module. In addition to managing document types (folders), admins can now configure custom fields, distribution and read-tracking settings, offline availability via the Centrik mobile apps, and more.
With this expanded functionality comes increased responsibility. To ensure transparency and accountability, we’ve introduced detailed logging, tracking all configuration changes with granular precision.
This feature is now live in production but disabled by default. We’re enabling it in phases to mitigate any unexpected performance impact and manage logged data volume effectively.
3. Centrik 5 - Task List Enhancements
We’ve enhanced the Centrik 5 dashboard with a new ‘My Tasks Assigned’ view. This update ensures full parity with the legacy v4 personal dashboard and provides a clearer overview of tasks, actions, and delegations assigned to others.
Additional improvements include:
-
Task List Export – Users can now download their task lists and open them in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
-
Workflow Task Display – Improved visibility of workflow-related tasks, allowing users to understand task context at a glance without drilling into the workflow module.
4. Centrik 5 - General UI Improvements
We’ve refined Centrik 5’s UI across the system, including:
-
Dark mode enhancements
-
Improved safety report list view
-
Better support for small-screen devices
-
Improved dashboard charts
-
Enhanced rich text editing options
5. Flight Information Lookup for Safety Reporting
Centrik’s safety reporting system now supports integrations with customer flight operations systems. Once configured, these integrations automatically retrieve flight details—such as aircraft, crew, and sector information—and populate them into safety report forms. This enhancement reduces errors, eliminates manual data entry, and significantly improves efficiency.
⚠ Note: This feature requires custom software development for integration with third-party flight operations systems. Additional fees apply, and implementations are subject to TrustFlight’s discretion.
6. More Flexible ECCAIRS Publishing
We’ve introduced limited customization options for ADREP fields published to National Aviation Authorities (NAAs). For example, Centrik can now be configured to omit the Occurrence Status attribute when publishing, in cases where an NAA does not require it.
7. Centrik 5 - MRO Module
Centrik’s feature set for Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) organisations has been optimised for Centrik 5.
