001 -November release roll-up, comprising the following versions v5.0.30 - 35, v4.9.82 - 90 |
Overview:
In November 2024, TrustFlight introduced a series of impactful enhancements to Centrik, improving usability, efficiency, and compliance. A new feedback feature in the safety module now allows email notifications to report submitters upon closure, while advanced risk controls in the risk module were optimized for greater responsiveness, especially for complex configurations. Workflow steps gained additional field types like dropdowns and hierarchies, providing more flexibility. Support for the latest ADREP taxonomy ensures compliance with updated aviation reporting standards, and a new "Move" feature streamlines the organization of multi-audit inspections. Compliance checklists in the quality module now better identify invalid regulation references, and the beta release of a faster, filterable safety report list dramatically improves performance for large systems. Additionally, numerous bug fixes and performance enhancements ensure smoother overall operations.
What's New
1. Safety Reporter Feedback
New safety module feature allowing feedback to be sent to the report submitter when a report is closed following classification and investigation. Feedback is sent via email and may be based on pre-defined templates automatically populated with details of the report and recipient.
2. Risk Controls Improvements
Risk Controls is a feature designed to help organizations identify, manage, and monitor mechanisms that mitigate risks associated with potential hazards or incidents. Risk controls can be linked to specific hazards, incidents, or operational scenarios to either prevent their occurrence or reduce their impact. The system provides tools to organize and manage risk controls, enabling a structured approach to risk management, ensuring effective oversight and adaptability as risks evolve.
We have enhanced the responsiveness of the advanced risk controls feature improving usage experience for customers with a large number of risk control connections and quality indicators configured.
3. Forms Within Workflow Steps
Enhanced the "Do Step" section in the Workflows module to support additional field types. Users can now include dropdowns, hierarchies, and radio buttons in addition to existing text, number, and RA fields. This improvement provides greater flexibility in defining workflow steps to meet diverse business needs.
4. Support for Latest ADREP Taxonomy
Extend support for mandatory occurrence reporting and ECCAIRS publishing to use the latest ADREP taxonomy, version 5.1.1.2(2), bringing the latest value lists of airfields, operators and other attributes into Centrik’s safety forms.
5. Move Feature for Organisation Audits
New "Move" functionality for audits that are part of a wider multi-audit inspection. When an audit is moved to a new subsystem, the parent inspection also moves, ensuring data remains logically grouped and navigable. This new feature supports better organization and control over audits and inspections.
6. Improved Regulation-Based Compliance Checklists
Enhance the quality module to improve identification of invalid or not found regulation references when editing regulation-based checklists and audits.
7. Safety Report List Speed-Up and Filtering (Beta)
Development of improved safety report list enabling much faster page load time and filtering. This significantly improves experience of users within larger Centrik customer systems that contain many thousands of reports. (This feature is currently in beta testing and will be rolled out to customers over the coming weeks).
Bug Fixes
-
CEN-28302 - Added missing XML schema files required to allow ECCAIRS report publishing and import using the legacy E5X file method, as opposed to the more modern API integration enabled by ECCAIRS 2.
-
CEN-28318 - Fixed validation bug affecting some fields in the ADREP 5.1.1.2(2) taxonomy version used in ECCAIRS 2 mandatory occurrence reporting.
-
CEN-28254 - Improve data quality of optional IOSA regulations offering by ensuring any duplicate regulations are removed when uploading ISM.
-
CEN-27546 - Ensure that safety reports can be filtered by aircraft registration, which may be specified in the General Information section of a report, or as a free text or dropdown field anywhere else within a safety form. Filtering with some configurations had been broken by a recent performance improvement change.
-
CEN-28430 - Resolved an issue where the Excel download from the Safety subsystem All Cases page failed to include ERC and delegation information for cases in the Investigation phase. The Phase column now accurately reflects whether a case is in the Classify or Investigate phase, and all relevant details from the Classify and Investigate phases are correctly populated in the exported file.
-
CEN-28055 - Fixed an issue where new IRs (parent) with AMCs/GMs (children) could not be correctly linked prior to publication. Users can now link children to their correct parent during creation, eliminating the need for workarounds and reducing the risk of errors.
-
CEN-28349 - Fixed an issue in the Applications module where the Assessment phase of a specific application could not be edited, with the Edit button becoming unresponsive. The issue has been resolved to ensure the page reliably enters edit mode for all users with appropriate access rights.
-
CEN-28684 - Optimized the loading process for workflows containing step-by-step items with links to risk assessments, meetings, audits, and sub-workflows. These items are now loaded only when required by the workflow configuration, significantly improving performance by deferring the loading logic from page initialization to step display.
-
CEN-28204 - Improved regulation amendment publishing to make it more robust. In the event of an unexpected failure when a customer Centrik instance fetches updates, we re-send a notification to retry the fetch.
-
CEN-27984 - Resolved an issue in the Risk Module where the "Created By" field failed to auto-populate with the user creating a new version of a Risk Assessment or save manually entered values. The "Created By" field now behaves consistently, automatically populating with the user's name when creating a new version, aligning with the behavior for newly created assessments.
-
CEN-28510 - Fixed an issue in the iOS app where checkbox selections in form section fields were not saved when creating reports offline. Checkbox selections now persist correctly in drafts, ensuring data is retained even when tabbing out of the report while offline.
-
CEN-25689 - Fixed an issue in the quality module where users encountered an error message when attempting to download findings from inspections. The issue, which occurred inconsistently in production but not in test environments, has been resolved to ensure downloads function correctly across all environments and for all users.
-
CEN-28483 - Fix bug affecting successful loading of safety subsystem counters in some circumstances.
-
CEN-28490 - Fix minor issues affecting the external reporting feature in the safety module that allows external organise to submit ECCAIRS-format E5X files to Centrik to be imported as report. The solution has been made more robust with fixes to resolve e-mail formatting and broken links issues.
-
CEN-28616 - Resolved an issue in the EIOSA subsystem where Auditor Actions were not pre-defined for ISARPs when starting audits. Auditor Actions are now correctly pre-defined upon audit creation, ensuring consistency and reducing manual effort for auditors.
-
CEN-28020 - [Centrik 5] Fixed an issue in the Safety/Reporting subsystems where users with "See Cases" permissions were incorrectly tasked with assessing reports via their personal task list. The system now ensures that assessment tasks are assigned only to users with "Manage Cases" permissions, aligning task assignments with intended user roles.
-
CEN-28103 - [Centrik 5] Resolved an issue where the "Contact Centrik Support" permission did not correctly control the availability of the support option in v5. The system now enforces this permission as intended, ensuring that only users with the appropriate access can see and use the "Contact Support" option.
-
CEN-28117 - [Centrik 5] Fixed an issue in the quality module where the "Implementation of Corrective Action Plan" field in V5 could not be edited, preventing users from entering or updating text. The field now functions as expected, allowing users to edit and save changes seamlessly.
-
CEN-28104 - [Centrik 5] Resolved an issue in the devices module where users with system-wide "Manage EFB" permissions were unable to switch organizations due to the missing organization drop-down. The drop-down is now restored, allowing users to seamlessly manage devices across all linked organizations.
-
CEN-26853 - [Centrik 5] Fixed an issue where users assigned as owners of Safety Actions were unable to request postponement. The postponement functionality now works as expected, allowing action owners to provide a reason and date for postponement.

-
CEN-28605 - [Centrik 5] Resolved an issue in the "Close Phase" of a case where the process navigation on the right-hand side of the screen disappeared after saving and continuing to manual sign-off. The process navigation now remains visible, allowing users to easily return to other phases of the workflow.
-
CEN-28749 - [Centrik 5] Resolved an issue where downloading "PDF (All Phases)" and "PDF (Full Report, Embedded Attachments)" for specific cases resulted in PDFs containing errors. These PDFs now generate correctly without errors, ensuring all report data and attachments are displayed as expected.
-
CEN-28024 - [Centrik 5] Addressed multiple issues with submitted Forms in v5 causing confusion and unnecessary "to-do" items on user dashboards:
-
Phases Appearing on Forms: Resolved an issue where workflow phases incorrectly appeared on Forms, causing them to remain incomplete and inaccessible. Forms no longer inherit Safety/Reporting workflow behavior.
-
Unnecessary Due Dates: Removed the unintended due date of 3 days after submission. Forms now behave as expected, with no due dates unless specifically configured.
