Overview:
This release strengthens Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) control with the introduction of MCC approvals in the Tech Log, starting with the approval process for deferrals. Engineers can now raise deferrals that require MCC approval before becoming effective, bringing digital workflows closer to established paper-based practices.
What's New
1. MCC Approval Control for Engineer Actions
This release enhances MCC’s authority by introducing mandatory approval for deferral actions performed by engineers at the aircraft. Engineers can no longer finalise a deferral without MCC’s review and approval, whether online or offline. This added layer of control ensures that all deferrals are assessed and authorised by MCC, improving operational oversight and aligning with established maintenance procedures. Please contact support@trustflight.com to enable this feature for your organisation.
2. TOTP for Offline Approvals
To ensure operations can continue seamlessly in offline scenarios, this release introduces Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) for deferral approvals. Engineers working offline can now contact MCC, receive a TOTP code over the phone, and enter it on their iPad to approve a deferral. This process maintains security and ensures aircraft serviceability, even in disconnected environments. The TOTP solution is familiar to MCC and engineers, integrating smoothly with existing workflows. Please contact support@trustflight.com to enable this feature for your organisation.
