Overview
For operators who need to ensure ATA codes are captured accurately, it is now possible to confirm ATA codes when signing off a release. This feature is available in App version 1.34.1 and above.
Note: This feature restricts ATA code updates for deferred defects when using a digital book from MEL Manager i.e. MEL, CDL or NEF.
Enabling the ATA Code Confirmation Feature
To activate this feature, follow these steps in the Web Dashboard:
Go to Operator Settings - > Defect Configuration -> Amend ATA Details on Public Page ( set this to YES)
ATA Code Confirmation on iPad
1. Adding a Defect

A defect is added using the iPad or Web Dashboard following the standard process.
2. Starting the Defect Resolution Process

On the iPad, begin the process to resolve the defect.

On the Type page, you will see two additional fields:

ATA Chapter

ATA Section

If ATA codes were manually entered when the defect was created, the fields will automatically populate with those values. as shown in this screenshot below.
3. Updating the ATA Code

To update the ATA code, enter the new values in either the ATA Chapter or ATA Section fields.

Once you select a type of work completed, you will be prompted to sign. This serves as a confirmation that the user is updating the ATA code.

Tap Add Signature and enter your signature.
4. Confirming the Update

You will notice on the sequent pages within the sign off/ release workflow the ATA codes have

Finish the sign-off and release process as per usual.

To verify, navigate to the Maintenance Page to check that the ATA code has been updated.
ATA Code Updates via the Public Page
1. Adding a Defect

A defect is added using the iPad or Web Dashboard following standard procedures.
2. Updating the ATA Code via the Web Dashboard

On the Web Dashboard, click Add CRS or generate a Public Share Link.
