The Prepare phase sets out the foundations of this task, it records information about the name of the task, the method statement used, details of the client, alongside details of the Pilot, any observers, it also allows the equipment used to be recorded.
Depending on configuration the prepare phase can be made up of two stages, a Capture and Deploy stage, or three stages, a capture, Plan, and Deploy stage.
1. Enter a name for this task
2. Select a method Statement from the dropdown
3. Enter a client name (this is optional
4. Select a Date From and Date To in the available boxes
5. Within the Participants section, click the ‘Add’ button, add in the names of those performing this task and then select the Role that they are undertaking (you can allocate more than one Role per individual)
6. If required enter a Description and Output Required (what you want to achieve from this task), these are optional
7. Click on the ‘Save’ button
An Equipment Selector section is made available after saving.
8. Click on the ‘Edit’ button
There is a checkbox option to show equipment reserved by other tasks, or already allocated alongside a checkbox to show all equipment
All equipment is shown with its relevant equipment status (Green (Ok to use), Yellow (Ok to use but this equipment has a defect), Red (This equipment has a defect, not ok to use))
If you used the mountables option with equipment type, then selecting the UAS type will display all the equipment that can be used with this UAS type.
9. Select the UAS type and any associated mountables
10. Click on the ‘Save’ button
Once all the relevant information has been entered you can close the capture phase to lock in this information.
11. Click on the ‘Close Capture’ button
