Any named individual responsible for rectifying a defect will be notified via email and if a Centrik user through their personal dashboard.
Clicking on the Email link or navigating through their dashboard and task list will allow them to see any open defects that they have been named against.
Alternatively, they can find the defect from the defects tab within the equipment module and select it directly from there.
Once selected the Responsible Person can choose to enter in a Deferral, a Rectification, or to Delegate the defect to another individual.
Deferring and Rectifying a defect
Within a created defect the responsible owner is able to defer a defect or resolve/rectify an open defect.
Both areas are available within the defect itself.
1. Follow the link to the open defect, or open the defect from the defects tab and select the piece of equipment
The two areas of focus are the Deferral area and the Rectification sections.
Rectifying a defect
Rectifying a defect is a similar process to deferring a defect.
1. Click on the ‘Edit’ button, or click within the Rectification section area to place the screen into edit mode
2. In the available Rectification box, enter in the details of who is rectifying this defect (start typing the name and select from the available list)
3. Add in a date within the Date Rectified box
4. Add in the Rectification details.
5. Click on the ‘Save’ button
All items are captured within the comments section.
Navigating back to the defect tab this defect will not appear as it has been rectified. However, you can filter the summary page to show all defects.
1. Click on the ‘Show filters’ button
2. Change the defect status to ‘All defects’ from the dropdown list
3. Click on the ‘Apply filter’ button
Clicking on the pop out option will display this defect in detail, once again the ‘Prev’ and ‘Next’ buttons can be used to look through previous and next (the defect that is after the one you are viewing) defects.
