1. Navigate to the piece of specific equipment via its class tab
2. Select the individual piece of equipment
3. Click on the ‘Add Check’ button
4. Click on the ‘Save’ button
5. Carry out the list of checks, selecting from the buttons on screen
6. If an item fails the checklist due to a defect, click on the ‘Fail’ button (configuration might alter this terminology
7. Enter in a reason in the pop-up box
8. Click on the ‘OK’ button
9. Within the Defects section click on the ‘Add’ button
10. Complete the defect box with details of the defect, add in its Priority, and severity to the business
11. Add in a Responsible Person, selecting the option of internal or external contact
The Responsible Person section is the individual responsible for fixing this defect, there is a selectable option of this individual being an External Contact, in essence they don’t have access to your Centrik system, selecting this as YES will create areas for an External Contact Name and External Contact Email to be added. If the individual responsible is an internal contact, then typing in their name in the available field will allow you to select from the list.
12. Click on the ‘Save’ button
Adding a defect outside of a check for tasking style is the same method as for checklist style.
