We are pleased to announce that Centrik 5 will be released to customer systems from 20th June 2024.
It is already available on some customers' Centrik test environments.
What’s New in Centrik 5?
Centrik 5 builds on the existing capabilities of previous Centrik versions. A new user experience, feature enhancements, and performance improvements are just a few of the benefits that you will receive from upgrading to Centrik 5.
Newly Introduced Features and Capabilities Include:
- Simplified Navigation
We rebuilt the entire navigation process to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. The new collapsible menu allows more of the screen to be displayed and a more efficient user experience, so you can focus on key tasks and responsibilities central to your role. Browse and filter your information, faster than ever.
- Customizable Dashboards
Customizable management dashboards provide oversight of the SMS/QMS health of your organization, allowing for quick drill down into module list views. With at-a-glance overviews of modules alongside a focused task list display, users can now visualize dashboards to their liking with drag-and-drop functionality or hide it completely if not-pertinent.
- Introduction of Personalized Tasks List
'My Tasks' consolidates any tasks that a user has been assigned, is named within, or has oversight of. Creating a ‘My Tasks’ area provides a focused tasks list prompting the user to close, chase or review items. You’ll see exactly what you need to do, and when.
- Themes and Accessibility Mode
Themes introduce the ability to adjust the screen displays based on a user’s own preference. The reduced eye strain mode which uses softer colour palettes throughout, or use the new accessibility mode to introduces shapes alongside colour indicators to improve status recognition or Action management areas .
- Rich Text and Inline Commenting
The introduction of ‘Rich Text’ areas allow for the creation of headings, task lists, links and code to be used within actions whilst improving readability throughout the system. Centrik 5 also makes it possible to add comments without leaving the page.
- Fast Edit Mode
Editing your data is easier than ever before in Centrik. The Edit button is still visible, but the way that you edit a page has been improved. Now, simply clicking on the screen where you want to make a change will place you in edit mode. After making your changes, simply save as per usual.
- Rolling Performance Enhancements
Centrik 5 features rolling performance improvements for improved loading times, providing the ability for distributed teams to quickly access documents, forms, and reports faster than ever before.
- Alignment with TrustFlight Product Suite
Centrik 5 is the first version to be integrated into TrustFlight’s wider aviation product suite, which includes our leading Tech Log, innovative MEL Manager, and Reliability Analytics. New features and modules on our roadmap will allow you to communicate between our products within the same platform, making data harmony and efficiency simpler than ever.
- An Updated iPad App and Android App
An updated iPad and Android App has been launched, which includes a rewritten documents module, making reading and synchronizing your documents faster and more stable than ever before
Why are we doing this?
In simple terms, we pride ourselves on being the leading platform for Safety, Risk, and Quality within aviation and aerospace. After focus groups with power users of Centrik, we were able to gain clarity on what features and functions mattered most to users. The user interface was repeatedly brought up by users, and so that became the focal point for the update. However, other improvements were not lost on us, and were built into the system.
Who does it affect?
Eventually, everyone will be moved across to Centrik 5. If you have yet to be contacted to move to Centrik 5, please feel free to contact us for a scheduled release date.
When can I test drive Centrik 5?
Centrik 5 can be populated within your test environment so you can get familiar with the system and its associated changes. We encourage you also to view the video demonstration to see how the changes may affect you in your day-to-day activities. You’re also encouraged to schedule some time with your Account Manager.

Q. Will TrustFlight support me through this process?

Q. Is there a user guide available?
A. Yes, as with previous versions of Centrik we have created a separate Centrik 5 user guide within our Zendesk portal to assist customers through this change, click here to view the differences.
Q. When will this change happen?
A. Some customers have already been migrated to Centrik 5. As we roll out Centrik to users, you will be notified about this change. To request an early migration or to better understand the dates your organization may be selected for, please contact Support.
Q. Can I move to Centrik 5 at my own pace?
A. We understand that it may be challenging to some users to migrate to Centrik 5 immediately. As such, we encourage you to speak with our Support team to develop a roadmap in collaboration with your teams to ensure the change doesn’t disrupt your normal operations. In the meantime please feel free to view our supporting documentation on our Zendesk portal.
Q. Is the App version of Centrik changing?
A. Yes, to enable you to utilise the full functionality of Centrik 5 offline we have had to update the App version for iPad and Android, these feature the same enhanced UI functions and align with the other TrustFlight products of Tech Log and MEL.
