TrustFlight provides different aircraft modes to help manage visibility and access, and billing. Below is an overview of each mode and its implications.
Active Mode
An aircraft in Active Mode is visible on both the Web Dashboard and the Tech Log App. Any aircraft marked as "Active" will appear on invoices, subject to your contract terms.
Setup Mode
An aircraft in Setup Mode is only visible on the Web Dashboard, allowing you to configure and prepare it before entering service. Once an aircraft is moved to Active Mode, its Billing Start Date is automatically set to the current date, and it will begin appearing on invoices.
Additional Aircraft Modes
Administrators can change an aircraft’s mode via the Web Dashboard:
- Lock Aircraft – Restricts access for non-admin users and prevents record changes until unlocked.
- Archive – Removes the aircraft from invoices while keeping it in the account for record-keeping.
- Delete Aircraft – Permanently removes the aircraft and all associated data. This option is only available for Demo aircraft.
Important: Archiving an aircraft will remove it from future invoices, but past billing is subject to contract terms. If you have questions about invoicing changes, please contact Support.
