1. Select the appropriate training subsystem from the side menu bar
2. Click on the ‘Setup’ tab
3. Click on the ‘Qualifications’ button
4. Select the area where the new qualification will sit by expanding the relevant section
5. Click on the ‘Add New’ button, in this example ‘Add New Personal Qualification’ button (the button will take its naming convention from the area that it sits in, for this example it is within the Personal Qualification area)
Within the Section titled Qualification:
6. Input a Number for this new qualification (where it sits on the qualifications page)
7. Input a Name, a short name (optional)
8. Select the Qualification Type, unless it is a Type Rating, LPC, OPC, LC or Medical you need o select as Other Qualification
9. Select from the Mandatory area if this qualification is mandatory for all, add-on for all crew, or add-on for selected crew
10. In the section Include Skills Assessment select if this qualification requires a skills assessment or not
Within the section titled Applies To:
11. Select who this qualification applies to, which aircraft it applies to, and if this qualification is to be shared to another subsystem (configuration option).
If the checkboxes for Ranks (or configured as Roles) and Types are left blank the system will apply this qualification to all Ranks, all Roles, and all Types, this means that any additional Ranks, Roles, or Types added to the site at a later stage (after this qualification was created) will automatically have this qualification associated to them.
Applies to all example:
If an individual, or all checkboxes are selected the created qualification will only apply to that Rank, that Role, or that specific Type. If any additional Ranks, Roles, or Types are added after this qualification has been created and you want these new Ranks, Roles, or Types in order that they are linked to this qualification, the qualification will need to be updated, or edited in order to include these additions.
Applies to specific Rank, and Type example:
If configured the option to share this qualification with other subsystems works in a different way. The applicable subsystem needs to be ticked / checked to share the qualification. If you require the qualification across all of your subsystems, then ALL applicable subsystems need to be selected.
Within the section titled Revalidation:
12. Select the Revalidation method for this qualification, if a Check is selected as YES, an additional area (an area for a Checklist) is created.
13. There are various revalidation options available under the area titled Revalidate by recording the following document, this allows the user to self-upload a document for validation by the Training Manager or for the Training manager to add in evidence / validation that a qualification has been completed to a required standard.
14. Select from the available validity period options for this qualification
If choosing an expiry option, you are presented with a further list of options. Select from the applicable one for this qualification.
You are able to extend the qualifications validity period until the month end if required.
Within the section titled Checklists: (If revalidate by check was selected as a YES)
15. If you selected Revalidate by Check within the Revalidation section, then you can add a checklist for this qualification into Centrik. Within the Checklists section, click on the ‘+ Add checklist’ button
The Number and Name of this checklist is prepopulated, this can be amended if required within the available areas, there is an optional description box, and the ability to Allow Repeat and Retest checkbox. The qualification that this Applies to.. is also shown.
The Checklist Content area is where you can add in the sections and the contents of this check.
16. Click on the ‘+ Add section’ button
17. Type in a section number, and a section title in the available boxes
18. Click on the ‘Save’ button
Once the sections have been created you can start adding items into the relevant areas.
19. Click on the newly created Section title
You can add in a minimum number of topics to be passed within the Section information area (if its required)
20. Click on the ‘+ Add checklist’ button within the Contents section
21. Enter in a Number, Title, any Instructions (optional), select a grade range from those available, and select if this item is mandatory or optional
22. Click on the ‘OK’ button
23. Continue adding items as necessary
24. Click on the ‘Save’ button
Continue adding items to all sections that have been created, looking at the qualification after all sections have been completed you can see that the created items have been added under each section.
Removing items:
1. Click on the section title
2. Click on the items pencil icon
3. Click on the checkbox Archive record?
4. Click on the OK’ button
5. Confirm your selection by clicking on the ‘Ok’ button the prompt screen
