Amend an Existing Item (Adding a New Version)
To amend an existing item, you need to create a ‘New Version’. The new version is essentially a copy of the published item and then you are able to make any changes or delete the reg item. This will amend or delete the regulation item once the amendment is published.
1. From the amendment detail page, click on the ‘play’ button of the regulation (Regulation Detail page).
2. Enter in the title, short title, Description (optional), Source (optional) and any applicable dates required
3. Click on the ‘Save’ button
4. Within the Affected Regulations area click on the ‘+ Add’ button
5. Select the regulation that you are amending from the dropdown list
6. Click on the ‘Save’ button
7. Click on the ‘Play’ button
8. Select the section to be amended from the Regulation Section area and use the dropdown list
9. Expand the regulation item to amend and click ‘Edit/Add’
10. Click anywhere on the page to put it into edit mode, or click on the ‘Edit’ button
11. Amend the regulation as required
12. Click on the ‘+ Add New Version’ button
13. Complete the version section selecting the Update Stats in a similar way to before
14. Click on the ‘Save’ button
15. Repeat the process for any other amendments that are required
16. Now you need to publish these changes, head back to the Regulations amendments section
17. Click on the ‘Review’ to review the amended regulation or the ‘Publish’ button to publish it
18. If publishing the amendment, then enter in a distribution comment (if required) and click on the ‘Publish’ button
19. Repeat the process for any other amended regulations that have been changed and requiring publishing
20. Now head to the Regulations area to view the amended regulations
Selecting the regulation will display the updated / amended version.
Using the Compare button allows you to compare versions using the dropdowns available.
