Upon submission of a safety report, it becomes a safety case and the Assess phase becomes active. This can only be accessed with the relevant access rights being granted.
Return to Sender
A Safety Manager is able to view a submitted safety case and view its content. If there is not sufficient information within the description area to enable this case to be assessed, it can be returned to sender and deleted.
1. Click on ‘Return to Sender’ button.
2. A reason will need to be entered into the available box as to why this is being returned
3. Click on the ‘Delete and Return To Sender’ button
The safety case will be sent back to the sender as a safety report, they are able to make any relevant changes before submitting this again.
Safety Corrections (if configured)
If a safety report contains minor errors but in general the description of the event or occurrence can be understood, then the Safety Manager is able to make minor adjustments to this safety case.
This is achieved through the ‘Corrections’ button, depending on system configuration will depend on what areas can be corrected.
1. Click on the ‘Corrections’ button, any areas that can corrected will be available for correction
2. Make the necessary corrections.
3. Click on the Finish and Submit area to expand the box
4. Click on the ‘Submit’ button within the finish and submit area will make these amendments.
All amendments / corrections are captured within the comments area including details of who made the correction, what the correction was, the date of the correction and the time that it occurred.
